#yelpingWangs – Chunju Han-il Kwan

Tonight I’m too tired to cook so we decided to get take out since delivery service in LA is not quite as developed as in NYC. We were kind of, sort of concerned that if we don’t eat in, we won’t get those little appetizer dishes they give you. Well BOY, were we WRONGGGG-ggg-GGG. Mike called in our order and we went to pick up in K-town.

We ordered: scallion pancakes, budae jjigae (army stew), Kalbi and Here goes the review:

-speaks English, Mike was able to order and understand the server (I do wish we spoke Korean though)
-very fast preparation. We left immediately after ordering and picked up once we pulled up
-purple rice sides (I love purple rice)

-valet parking (I can’t get over the fact that we have pay for parking for services/restaurants here in LA)

The food was….okay. Nothing to write home about, the soup was a bit bland even though it looks like it’d be packed with flavor. Every other review on Yelp was singing the soup’s praises though. I don’t get it…I’d much appreciate the one from Kun Jip from NYC. I do appreciate how big the portions are and Mike certainly got a work out. I wouldn’t visit again although I’d imagine that it’d be great at 3am after a night out.

Overall 3/5 stars!
